Heavy Rainfall Alert: IMD Issues Weather Forecast Across Multiple States till September 17

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a comprehensive weather forecast that encompasses several states across the country, highlighting the likelihood of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms till September 17.

September 14:

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected over parts of Odisha, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh.
Heavy rains are also predicted over parts of Uttarakhand, west Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Telangana.

September 15:

There is a significant probability of experiencing intense to extremely heavy rainfall in certain areas of Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha.
Parts of west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, ghat areas of central Maharashtra, and Marathwada may also witness similar weather conditions.

September 16:

Heavy to very heavy downpour is likely over ghat areas of central Maharashtra and Marathwada.

September 17:

Heavy rainfall is expected to occur over parts of east Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Telangana, Konkan, Goa, ghat areas of central Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Marathwada, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Additionally, thunderstorms with lightning are anticipated in various parts of India until Saturday:

September 14: Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) are expected in Uttarakhand, east Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Puducherry, Karaikal, Yanam, Rayalaseema, and Mahe.

September 15: Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) are very likely over Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

September 16 and 17: Thunderstorms with lightning are likely at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, and Jharkhand.
