Subsidy Details for Key Agricultural Equipment:

1. Rotary Mulcher:

Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Extremely Backward Classes can avail an 80 percent subsidy, up to a maximum of Rs 1,20,000, while general category farmers are eligible for a 75 percent subsidy, capped at Rs 1,10,000.

2. Super Seeder:

Various types of super seeders are part of this scheme. For instance, on the "Super Seeder (Tractor Driven) 6 feet," Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Extremely Backward Class farmers can receive an 80 percent subsidy, with a maximum of Rs 1,52,000. In contrast, general category farmers are entitled to a 75 percent subsidy, up to Rs 1,42,000.

3. Happy Seeder:

On Happy Seeders with 9 to 11 tines, farmers from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Extremely Backward Classes can secure an 80 percent subsidy, capped at Rs 1,20,000. General category farmers are eligible for a 75 percent subsidy, with a maximum of Rs 1,10,000.

4. Straw Baler Without Rack:

Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Extremely Backward Class farmers can benefit from an 80 percent subsidy, up to a maximum of Rs 2,50,000, while general category farmers are entitled to a 75 percent subsidy, capped at Rs 2,25,000.

5. Zero Tillage/Seed Cum Fertilizer Drill:

Farmers from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Extremely Backward Classes can avail an 80 percent subsidy, up to a maximum of Rs 34,000, on zero tillage/seed cum fertilizer drill and 9-tine zero tillage/seed cum fertilizer machines. Meanwhile, general category farmers can receive a 75 percent subsidy, capped at Rs 32,000. For zero tillage/seed cum fertilizer machines with more than 9 tines, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Extremely Backward Class farmers can get an 80 percent subsidy, up to a maximum of Rs 43,000. General category farmers can access a 75 percent subsidy, capped at Rs 40,000.

6. Rotary Slasher Machine:

Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Extremely Backward Class farmers can secure an 80 percent subsidy, with a maximum of Rs 40,000 on rotary slasher machines. General category farmers are entitled to a 75 percent subsidy, capped at Rs 37,500.

7. Paddy Straw Chopper Machine:

Farmers from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Extremely Backward Classes can receive an 80 percent subsidy, with a maximum of Rs 1,20,000, on paddy straw chopper machines. General category farmers can avail of a 75 percent subsidy, with a maximum of Rs 1,10,000.

Applying for Agricultural Equipment Subsidies:

To apply for subsidies on these top agricultural implements, residents of Bihar can visit the official website of the Agricultural Mechanization Scheme in Bihar (https://farmech.bih.nic.in/FMNEW/Homenew.aspx#). The application deadline is set for November 10, 2023. Farmers are encouraged to apply during office hours on any working day, excluding government holidays.

When applying for subsidies under the Agricultural Mechanization Scheme, farmers will need the following documents:

*Aadhaar card of the applying farmer

*Passport-sized photo of the farmer

*Farmer's mobile number linked to Aadhaar

*Farmer's bank account details, along with a copy of the bank passbook

*Computerized bill for the purchase of agricultural equipment

*Self-certified letter

*RC for tractor-driven equipment
