Using the greatest agricultural techniques, government programmes, and loan options from more than 40 commercial and cooperative banks, the Ama KrushAI chatbot will assist farmers. Almost 10,000 farmers will participate in a test project before it is fully deployed in the upcoming two months.
In his remarks to the audience, the governor urged farmers to take advantage of the various state government initiatives announced to boost agriculture and support the state's economic development.
"Civilization began with agriculture, and it is still the foundation of civilization today." Prof. Lal emphasized the necessity for coordinated efforts from all the stakeholders to help the farming community weather the challenges they have been facing. "Only a farmer can do the magic in agriculture," he stated.
Agriculture is the only industry, according to Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Empowerment Ranendra Pratap Swain, that did not come to a complete standstill throughout the pandemic. In terms of numerous crops, Odisha is currently self-sufficient. According to him, the state produces nearly all of its own milk, eggs, and fish, making it the fourth-largest rice producer in the nation.
"We will be able to lower the cost of farming with our sincere efforts. We need farm mechanization to accomplish this", said Swain, urging farmers to employ cutting-edge machinery and technologies.
Basanti Hembram, the minister for women and children's development, and Arabinda Kumar Padhee, the principal secretary, were also present at the event.
According to Basanti Hembram, Minister of Women's and Children's Development and Mission Shakti, 70% of people rely on agriculture for their livelihood.
The government places a high priority on agriculture and farmer development. She claimed that KALIA, the Balaram plan, wholesome meals, and the commercialization of agriculture are some of our other areas of attention.
At the Krushi Odisha event, almost 20,000 farmers and agribusiness owners from all over the state were present. This year's focus of the event was cutting-edge agricultural technologies.
