Good News For Madhya Pradesh Farmers' : Now Get Up To 50 Percent Subsidy On Agricultural Implements

Farmers will receive 50% off agricultural machinery used in crop residue management under this scheme. Looking at the matter in detail we found out that Madhya Pradesh state is not on the list of the Crop Residue Management Scheme of the central government. To get the scheme implemented in the state the MP government has to propose a separate proposal.

What The Scheme Will Provide?
Under this scheme, the state government will provide the farmers with a 50 percent subsidy by marking useful agriculture machinery for crop residue management in the state. The machinery that comes under the scheme is a reaper cum binder, mulcher, happy seeder, etc.
As per some report sources, the Council of Ministers of the Madhya Pradesh Government has decided to implement this “crop residue management scheme” to minimize stubble burning and increase farm mechanization in the state and preserve the moisture of the soil.
Farmers in the state will be given grants for the purchase of useful power-driven agricultural machinery under the scheme. Small, marginal, women, scheduled caste, and scheduled tribe farmers will receive a 50% subsidy under this program. On the other hand, farmers in the general category will receive a 40% subsidy. The Directorate of Agricultural Engineering will be in charge of carrying out this scheme.
Farm Machinery That Comes Under The Umbrella Of This Scheme
Under this ‘Crop Residue Management Scheme’ farm implements like, straw-reaper, baler, reaper cum binder, mulcher, happy seeder, zero till machine, seed drill, seed cum fertilizer drill, rotavator, plough, and other similar farm implements are included.
Important Facts
- The farmer will require to own a tractor because all of these machines are operated by connecting to the tractor.
- The farmer will need the tractor's RC for this.
- The tractor's RC should be registered in the name of the owner's parents, siblings, or wife.
Required Documents To Apply In Crop Residue Management Scheme
The documents needed to apply for Crop Residue Management Scheme are as follows: -
- Aadhar card of the farmer.
- Photocopy of first-page passbook page.
- Caste certificate issued by competent authority (only for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes).
- bank draft of the prescribed amount.
- Copy of B-1, tractor registration (the farmer must already own a tractor to use tractor-driven agricultural implements).
Updates On The Crop Residue Management Scheme
As per the media reports, the state government has just prepared a crop management plan proposal. The cabinet meeting will make the final decision on this. Following that, agricultural machinery for crop residue management will be made available to state farmers on a subsidy basis. Farmers will be able to apply for this through the e-Krishi Yantra Anudan portal.
The department will provide information about the application to farmers via this portal. Let us inform you that Madhya Pradesh is not included in the central government's plan to prevent stubble burning. As a result, the government has created a crop residue management plan.
Farmers will receive a subsidy for purchasing in this case. Farmers will be eligible for a subsidy of up to Rs.6 lakh when purchasing machinery. Farmers have to apply online to get the benefits of this scheme, and the grant amount will be directly transferred to their accounts. The cabinet meeting will consider approving Rs 59 crore to run this scheme until 2024-25.
