Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL) has collaborated with Nissan Chemical Corporation to launch Rashinban, a pest control remedy for chili growers. Rashinban efficiently combats thrips, mites, and caterpillars, the primary nuisances during the crop's flowering period.

Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL) and Nissan Chemical Corporation have collaborated to launch Rashinban, a revolutionary pest control solution for chili farmers in India.

Rashinban is a broad-spectrum pesticide that effectively controls thrips, mites, and caterpillars, three of the most common pests that attack chili crops during the critical flowering stage. The product is priced at ₹2,900 per acre for a 400 ml dose and has already gained immense popularity among farmers.

NK Rajavelu, the CEO of Godrej Agrovet, emphasized the exceptional qualities of Rashinban. This remarkable product stands as a formidable adversary against three persistent pests. These troublesome insects typically wreak havoc which spans from 45 to 60 days.

Rajavelu revealed that the agricultural chemical market for chili is valued at an astounding ₹5,000 crore. Within this extensive market, the pesticides targeting these three pests constitute an impressive ₹1,200-1,500 crore. GAVL aims to secure a substantial 10 percent market share within the next three to four years. The company is confident of achieving this goal, given the success of Rashinban in the late sowing season.

Distinguished GAVL executives underlined the significance of Rashinban's global debut, they said that this revolutionary product acts as a safeguard during the crucial flowering stage, a global first.

Balram Singh Yadav, the dynamic Managing Director of GAVL, emphasized that Rashinban is tailor-made for the active flowering phase of chili plants, ensuring comprehensive efficacy. In addition to their existing products, Hanabi and Gracia, the introduction of Rashinban to their portfolio enables GAVL to cater to the entire chili crop value chain.

Currently, the product is imported in bulk from Japan and packed in India, securing exclusive rights for its distribution in the country.
