Garuda Aerospace to Open 400 Retail Drone Showrooms in 2024, Aims to Boost Agriculture Sector

Garuda Aerospace, a drone manufacturer backed by MS Dhoni, has opened its first flagship retail store in Chennai, India. The company plans to establish 400 retail outlets and mobile drone centers across the country by 2024.

Garuda Aerospace, a drone manufacturer backed by MS Dhoni, has opened its first flagship retail store in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. This marks the company's foray into traditional retail, and it plans to establish around 400 retail outlets and mobile drone centers across the country by 2024.

The company's goal is to make its products easily available in almost every district in India. The offline stores will serve as one-stop shops, offering high-quality precision drones, with a focus on supporting India's agriculture sector.

 

Garuda Aerospace also plans to introduce a unique "Service-on-Wheels" offering for convenient after-sales service. This will make it easier for customers to get their drones repaired and serviced, regardless of their location.

Garuda Aerospace's founder and CEO, Agnishwar Jayaprakash, believes that opening physical stores is a significant milestone for the company. He thinks it will help them to get closer to their target customers and improve the customer experience. 

 

In a recent financial boost, Garuda Aerospace secured 25 crore rupees in funding from investors, including Venture Catalysts and WeFounderCircle. This injection of capital will be instrumental in fulfilling a substantial order placed by the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Ltd (IFFCO) for 400 agricultural drones.

Additionally, it will facilitate the processing of pre-orders for 10,000 drones from various dealers across India. A portion of the funds will also be allocated to support Garuda Aerospace's strategic expansion into the offline retail sector.
