Garuda Aerospace Completes Drone Yatra 2.0, Covering 1.92L km Across 16 States in Just 5 Months

Garuda Aerospace, leading drone manufacturer in India, recently announced that it has achieved more than 50% progress in conducting the largest farmer outreach program in India, known as the “Drone Yatra 2.0”.

This program is aimed at showcasing the effectiveness of drones for various agricultural purposes and spreading awareness about their benefits among farmers throughout the country.

According to Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Founder and CEO of Garuda Aerospace, “Garuda Kisan drones are the most reasonable in the market valued at Rs. 4.5 lakh each, we have already received booking orders for 6,000 drones representing the monumental achievement of the Drone Yatra.”

In a statement released on Thursday, Jayaprakash said, “There has been an increase in demand for Garuda Kisan drones, which are priced almost 50 percent lower than other drone manufacturers approved by the DGCA. These drones are eligible for loans with a 5-6 percent government subsidy under the SMAM scheme. This means that farmers, rural entrepreneurs, custom hiring centers, and FPOs are only paying for 25-50 percent of the drone's cost out of their own pockets.”

According to the drone manufacturer, the Drone Yatra 2.0 has traveled across numerous states in India, covering a total of 388 districts and covering 192,309 km. During this journey, the manufacturer has already established 357 dealerships and received 292 purchase orders, distributing a total of 6,398 drones. Additionally, the manufacturer's "Warriors" conducted informative demo sessions on the ground to assist farmers in adopting drone technology and gaining knowledge for their future.

On February 19, 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Garuda Drone Yatra, which has received a tremendous response from customers throughout India.

Another significant milestone for the project was achieved on December 6, 2022, when Union Minister Anurag Thakur launched Drones Yatra 2.0, the largest project ever aimed at educating and familiarizing farmers with the advantages of drones in all districts of India.

Our biggest goal with this initiative was to create maximum impact and gain the trust of farmers by conducting demo sessions on-ground by making them familiar with the technology. This is one of the biggest farmer contact programmes in the country.
