Former Gujarat Agri Minister Killed in Amreli Road Accident

Vallabhbhai Vaghasiya, the former MLA of Savarkundla constituency and a former minister passed away in a tragic road accident. Vaghasiya was known for his exceptional organizational skills and leadership, and he dedicated himself to serving the people of Amreli.

Vallabhbhai Vaghasiya, former Gujarat agriculture minister, passed away after his car collided with a bulldozer near Savarkundla town in Amreli district, according to the police. The incident occurred on Thursday night, as reported by an official from Vanda police station.

Vaghasiya, aged 69, previously held a position as a legislator for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Savarkundla assembly seat. During the first term of the Vijay Rupani government, he served as the Minister of Agriculture and Urban Housing.

While returning from a village to Savarkundla, an accident took place on a state highway near Vanda village at approximately 8:30 pm. According to a police official, one person accompanying him in the vehicle sustained injuries.

The ex-minister sustained injuries when the car he was driving collided with a bulldozer. He was quickly taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead by the authorities. Upon hearing about the accident, a considerable number of party leaders and supporters assembled at the hospital.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his departed soul, and we offer strength and support to his grieving family during this difficult time," expressed Mahesh Kaswala, the current MLA from Savarkundla.

Amreli MLA Kaushik Vekariya praised Vaghasiya for his dedication to the well-being of the local population.

Vaghasiya emerged victorious in the 2012 Assembly election as a BJP MLA representing the Savarkundla constituency. In 2016, he took the oath as a minister in the Vijay Rupani government.
