Telangana farmer Som Kamla Bapu, in collaboration with his enterprising grandson, has also devised an innovative solution to the challenges of ploughing. Faced with the limitations of hiring labor and tractors for their farmland, the duo came up with the idea of a single wheel-run plough and a moped-operated plough. Their determination to find an affordable and efficient method of ploughing led to the creation of these remarkable inventions.

For Som Kamla Bapu, economic constraints were the driving force behind their invention. The moped-operated plough represents a brilliant fusion of ingenuity and practicality, showcasing how extraordinary solutions can arise from simple ideas. The grandfather and grandson have earned widespread appreciation for their innovation, as news of their inventions spread through social media.


In addition to Anil Mathil and Som Kamla Bapu, another farmer named Dinesh from the village of Baijnathpur, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, has left the farming community in awe with his resourceful ploughing machine. Utilizing various household spare parts, Dinesh ingeniously transformed an idle iron tiller into a fully functional ploughing machine. By adding a front wheel and a bicycle handle, he managed to create the device at a remarkably low cost of just Rs 1500.
