Farmers Will Receive Up To 10 Lakh Rupees In Subsidies On Purchase of Tractors And Agricultural Machinery

Agricultural Equipment Subsidy: The Scheme's Benefits Will Be Available Upon The Establishment Of A Custom Hiring Center

Machines are used in all aspects of farming, including ploughing, sowing, weeding, hoeing, harvesting, and transporting crops to markets. Purchasing agricultural machinery in this inflationary era is no easy task for small and marginal farmers. Many agricultural implements are prohibitively expensive for farmers. Considering the poor economic condition of such farmers, the federal and state governments implement a variety of programmes.

Subsidies are provided in these cases for the purchase of agricultural equipment. The Madhya Pradesh government has taken an unusual step in this episode. The state government has decided to open 364 custom hiring centers. In this government scheme, farmers who open custom hire centers will receive a 40% subsidy on the purchase of agricultural machinery. This subsidy will be limited to Rs. 10 lakh.

Custom Hire Centers Will Have Access To All Agricultural Equipment

Let us tell you that the Madhya Pradesh Government's establishment of Custom Hiring Centers will make it easier for many of the state's small and marginal farmers to purchase expensive agricultural equipment. Other farmers will be able to rent this equipment at custom hiring centers on a subsidized basis.

At the same time, the government will pay a subsidy of up to 40% on agricultural equipment to the operators of the Custom Hiring Center. This subsidy will be worth up to Rs. 10 lakh when purchasing a tractor.

The Agriculture Engineering Directorate Has Issued A Call For Applications

364 custom hiring centers will be opened in the state as part of the Madhya Pradesh government's target of opening custom hiring centers. The Agriculture Engineering Directorate, Bhopal, Government of Madhya Pradesh, has sought direct applications from farmers to achieve this goal. The following documents are required for farmers applying to open a custom hiring center:

• Aadhar card of the applicant
• Applicant's PAN card
• Applicant's proof of residency
• Copy of tractor registration
• Paper for cultivable land
• Bank account statement or a copy of the applicant's bank passbook
• Applicant's passport-sized photograph.

What Should the Eligibility Requirements Be?

Agricultural farmers, women self-help groups, and farmer-producer associations should be eligible to open a custom hiring center. In addition, general and SC-ST farmers can apply privately.
