Farmers held a tractor rally on the Abadi lands
Hundreds of farmers have been protesting against the Noida authority for the last four years, while similar concerns have been raised against the Noida and Yamuna Expressway authorities.
NOIDA: Various unions of farmers on Monday staged a protest against the three development authorities over various demands.
The farmers are demanding regularization of existing development works, construction of Abadi lands, handing over of developed plots for rehabilitation, and provision of employment opportunities to the youth.

He said that this time there was no movement until our demands were met. We have been waiting a long time and we want the Munch government to consider our plight, ”said Suraj Yadav of Sarfabad village.
A tractor rally was held from Sector 6 to the district administration office on Monday. Later, a group of farmers were locked outside the Yamuna Expressway Authority building in Greater Noida and only agreed to back down when called for a second round of talks on the demands.
In view of the protest, sources said there was a possibility of increasing police deployment around the offices of the three officers.
A Noida official said the group of farmers was trying to create pressure even though their demands were being met. “We have already agreed that their demands have been met. We have considered their demands as per the regulations. Additional demands cannot be met, ”the official said.
