Farmers can now acquire agricultural machinery by renting at a revised price

COIMBATORE: The announcement by the state government to reduce the use of farm equipment for the benefit of farmers has been launched in the region.

Collector S. Dhivyadarshini has asked farmers to use equipment that will rent them at decreased prices.

According to management, there are seven tractors, plow cutters, corn harvesters, implants and coconut harvesters are available for hire by farmers. Earth movers are multi-purpose machinery that can be used to harvest nuts and farmers will definitely benefit from the various equipment available for rent, according to management.

The State Government, in October, reduced prices for various equipment. At government expense, a tractor can be rented for ₹ 400 an hour; ground leveller for ₹ 970 per hour; Earth mover for ₹ 760 per hour; the coconut picking machine for ₹ 650 per hour.
