FACT Joins India's Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Educates Farmers on Innovative Fertilizers
The Indian Government's Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra strives for inclusive access to essential services. Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore (FACT) joins, focusing on educating farmers about advanced agricultural inputs, including nano fertilizers, utilizing drone technology for sustainable farming practices.
The Indian Government is working with states and territories to make sure everyone has access to important services through its flagship programs. The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra aims to reach people who have not been reached before by focusing on vulnerable people who are eligible for different programs but have not yet received benefits. The goals include sharing information, raising awareness about programs, and learning from people through interactions with program beneficiaries.
Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore (FACT) will be taking part in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and will focus on teaching farmers about new agricultural inputs.
The initiative involves the use of nano urea, nano-DAP (di-ammonium phosphate), and alternatives like organic fertilizers and fermented organic manure. FACT has commenced demonstrations in tribal districts of Kerala and Odisha, emphasizing the benefits of these advanced fertilizers.

The nano fertilizer program, inaugurated by Governor Arif Mohammed Khan in Palakkad district, Kerala, utilizes drone technology. This approach is considered a game-changer in agriculture, as demonstrated by rural and tribal farmers. According to FACT sources, nano fertilizers have the potential to reduce the cost of fertilizer application, combat pollution through optimal utilization, and encourage a shift from overuse to long-term optimum usage.
