Agriculture and MSMEs will benefit from the use of drones

During the program, Union Nitin Gadkari told that drones are related to agriculture and the MSME sector and both these sectors will benefit from the use of drones. He told that I have discussed with Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Union MSME Minister Narayan Rane to work on framing a policy on the use of drones in the agriculture sector. Drones can create a number of employment opportunities in rural areas. Drones can create 50 lakh jobs in a year.

The cost of farming will be less, rural youth will get employment

During the program, Union Minister Gadkari informed that he has started using drones on his farm and has cut down on mechanized spraying of pesticides. Let us tell you that when the drone sprays insecticide and liquid urea in the fields, then the entire crop will be sprayed in equal quantity. At the same time, it will also take less time and save on the cost of human labor.

Drone price: The drone will be available for 6.5 lakh rupees

In the program, Union Minister Gadkari told that drones will be available to farmers for Rs 6 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh. The cost of a lithium-ion battery-powered drone would be around Rs 6 lakh, while the ethanol fuel-powered unmanned aerial vehicle would cost around Rs 1.5 lakh, he said. Gadkari further said that spraying pesticides from drones would require a large number of pilots to operate them.

Vehicles will run on ethanol, farmers will become energy providers

During the function, Gadkari said that the farmer of the country will now be not only the donor of food but also the donor of energy. Now two-wheelers and four-wheelers in the country will run on 100% ethanol which is prepared by the farmer. This will increase the income of the farmers of the country and reduce pollution. Dependence on petrol will be reduced.

SOP issued for drone operation

Let us tell you that the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has been issued for the use of drones in agriculture. While releasing the SOP recently, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that after consultation with all the stakeholders in the sector, a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has been prepared for the use of drones. It contains brief instructions for the effective and safe operation of drones. Drones can be used in agriculture for monitoring crop pressure, plant growth, yield prediction, weedicide, distribution of fertilizers and materials like water, etc.
