Domestic Tractor Sales Dropped by 2% in August 2022, According to Report

According to the August 2022 Domestic Sales data, total tractor domestic sales were 52,731 units, up from 53,721 units in August 2021. According to this data, tractor manufacturers lost money this month. Domestic Tractor Sales in 2022 fell by 1.84% in August. Brand-wise Domestic Sales data August 2022

Mahindra Tractors' domestic tractor sales totaled 20,138 units in August 2022, up from 19,997 in August 2021. The figures show a 0.71% increase in Mahindra Tractor Domestic Sales. This month, the company increased its market share by 0.97%.

"We sold 20,138 tractors in the domestic market during August 2022, a 1% increase over last year," said Hemant Sikka, President - Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. The monsoon has been overall positive, with 8% more rain than LPA, but the spatial distribution has been deficient in key paddy states of eastern India, affecting paddy sowing. We believe that tractor purchases on auspicious days during the holiday season will lead to a revival in demand as farmers begin harvesting operations. We are preparing for high tractor demand during the holiday season. We sold 1,382 tractors in the export market, a 1% increase over last year."

TAFE Group reported a 1.49% decrease in domestic tractor sales in August 2022, with 9,601 units sold compared to 9,746 units sold in August 2021. This month, the TAFE group increased its market share by 0.07%.

This month, Sonalika Tractors experienced double-digit growth. Sonalika tractor sales were 7,014 units in August 2022, and 5,814 units in August 2021. Sonalika's market share increased by 2.48% in August 2022.

Domestic tractor sales increased 7.89% in August 2022, according to Escorts Group. In August 2022, the company sold 5,308 units, up from 4,920 in August 2021. In addition, the Escorts Group increased its market share by 0.91%.

In August 2022, John Deere Tractor sales fell by 36.31%. In August 2022, the company sold 4,559 units, while in August 2021, it sold 7,158 units. This month, the John Deere tractor lost 4.68% of its market share.

In August 2022, New Holland Tractor Company saw a 0.93% increase in domestic sales. They sold 2,063 domestic tractors in August 2022, and 2,044 domestic tractors in August 2021. They also increased their market share by 0.11% this month.

Kubota domestic sales data showed 1,802 units in August 2022, up from 1,150 in August 2021. They reported a 56.70% increase in tractor sales. Kubota Tractors' market share increased by 1.28% as well.

Preet tractor sales in the domestic market fell 17.90%. In August 2022, the company sold 500 tractors, compared to 609 in August 2021. Furthermore, Preet Tractor lost 0.19% of its market share in August 2022.

Indo Farm Tractor reported a 9.92% loss in domestic tractor sales in August 2022, selling 454 units versus 504 units in August 2021. In addition, the company's market share fell by 0.08%.

In August 2022, VST domestic tractor sales fell by 30.02%. The VST Shakti sold 450 units in August 2022, which is 193 units fewer than in August 2021. The company's total market share fell by 0.34%.

Domestic sales at Force Tractor fell by 31.78%. In August 2022, the company sold 292 units, compared to 428 units in the same month last year. As a result, Force tractors will lose 0.24% of the market in August 2022.

Domestic tractor sales at Captain Tractors dropped 10.89%. In August 2022, the company sold 270 units, compared to 303 units in August 2021. However, Captain Tractors' market share fell by 0.05%.

ACE Tractor sales increased by approximately 3.90% in August 2022, with 213 units sold versus 205 units in August 2021. In addition, the company's domestic market share grew by 0.02%.

SDF Tractor sold 67 units in August 2022, compared to 200 units in August 2021, representing a 66.50% decrease in SDF domestic tractor sales. The company lost 0.25% of its market share this time.
