Digicides, a business-to-farmer SaaS-based communication platform, founded by husband-wife duo, Dipanjan Dean Dutta and Saswati Bag, is empowering farmers and bridging the communication gap between the agriculture and allied industries. Large and small-sized companies such as Bayer, Godrej, and Coromandel are utilizing the platform to connect and engage with farmers through a suite of products, including hyperlocal, targeted communication via text messages, WhatsApp, phone calls, and more.

The platform's two-way communication system helps companies to reach out to farmers directly, and the plug-and-play feature helps increase the sales of products and services while educating farmers and giving them a choice of products they did not have before.

Digicides was founded in 2017 with one goal in mind: to streamline communication geared towards farmers with tangible impacts. The Gurgaon-based company has built a strong network of 2.47 crore verified farmers in the last three years, with a vision to become the largest farmer network of India by 2025.

Digicides' basket of products includes DigiTrack, a lead generation tool that helps acquire farmer data through a unique combination of telephony and digital tools. Meanwhile, DigiConnect is a multi-channel lead engagement tool that connects with farmers through outbound dialling, interactive voice recordings, SMS, and WhatsApp for targeted campaigns.

Traditional companies spend major bucks on their salesforce to reach out to farmers, but with no measured outcome or results from the market, Digicides is here to fill this gap by bringing companies closer to the farmer community. The agritech startup is bootstrapped, showing over 23% year-on-year revenue growth and over 187% year-on-year user growth, with growing demand from the agri industry and more farmers getting comfortable with the use of smartphones.

Digicides' founder and CEO, Dipanjan Dean Dutta, who comes with extensive experience in marketing and go-to-market strategy framework with rural-facing consumers, wanted to use his insight on how rural consumers communicate with a brand to develop a space where businesses could connect with farmers directly. Meanwhile, Saswati Bag, who has expansive, sector-agnostic experience in consulting and research, was interested in the digitization of the agri industry and utilizing her operational management expertise in the rejuvenated agri-space.

In conclusion, Digicides is an innovative agritech platform, which is revolutionizing the communication between farmers and agriculture and allied industries. Its products are empowering farmers and helping companies to reach out to farmers directly, increasing sales of products and services while educating farmers and giving them a choice of products they did not have before.
