The platform aims to create a direct connection between businesses and farmers, simplifying the exchange of information and communication within the agricultural community.
Digicides, an agricultural technology startup, is embarking on a new venture in the Asia Pacific region by entering the Philippines. The Agri-tech startup company's collaboration with Syngenta Philippines and BASF Philippines has paved the way for this expansion.
Digicides operates as a platform connecting businesses to farmers, founded in 2017. Its distinctive suite of products aims to enhance communication and information sharing among farmers. Notably, the company has already established partnerships with more than 150 organizations, including Bayer, BASF, Godrej, and Coromandel, in India. This has resulted in a comprehensive database of 2.7 crore verified farmers.
The Asia-Pacific region is a major player in agri-food tech financing, contributing about 30% of global activity in this sector. Predictions suggest that the region will account for 60% of worldwide consumption by 2030.
