December 2022 Escorts Kubota Sales Report - Sales Amplified By 18.7%

Escorts Kubota's Agri Machinery Segment sold 5,573 tractors in December 2022, an 18.7% increase over the 4,695 tractors sold in December 2021. Tractor sales fell 30% year on year in December 2022, from 7,960 units sold in November 2022.

Domestic tractor sales of Escorts Kubota in December 2022 totaled 4,979 tractors, a 22% increase over the 4,080 tractors sold in December 2021. According to the company, rural sentiments are still positive as a result of good Kharif procurement, rabi sowing, and higher reservoir water levels.

Export tractor sales fell 3.4% to 594 units sold in December 2022, down from 615 units sold in the same period the previous year.

Total tractor sales increased 10.7% year on year to 28,025 units in Q3 FY23, up from 25,325 units in Q3 FY22. Domestic tractor sales increased 12.3% to 26,181 units, while export tractor sales decreased 8% to 1,844 units in the third quarter compared to the previous year's corresponding quarter.

Escorts Kubota's Construction Equipment Segment sold 423 machines in December 2022, up from 377 in December 2021, a 12.2% increase.

As infrastructure projects progress, we are seeing increased demand across all three business segments, namely pick and carry cranes, earth moving, and road construction. According to the press release, the company expects this demand to continue for the remainder of the fiscal year.

The company's Construction Equipment Segment sold 1,209 units in the quarter that ended 31 December 2022, up 5% from 1,151 units sold in the same period the previous year.
