CSK HP Agriculture University Displays 3 Agriculture Drones

The CSK HP Agriculture University recently demonstrated the three agriculture drones which were funded to them by the Agricultural Technology Research Institute of the Indian Agricultural Research at Ludhiana. Under their latest project, their main motive was to make farmers understand drones use and its positive impact on agriculture.

Recently a demonstration was held at CSK HP Agricultural University. They successfully displayed 3 agriculture drones that could lead to enormous benefits in farming, said Vice Chancellor Prof HK Chaudhary.

In their recent project, the three agriculture spray drones being procured were demonstrated to the farmers in Palampur, eight Krishi Vigyan Kendras, and 13 research stations across the states.

The VC also told that after getting successful funding from the Agricultural Technology Research Institute of the Indian Agricultural Research at Ludhiana, their university was able to take further leads to purchase the three agricultural drones.

According to the VC, “The university will use the newly acquired drones to demonstrate their spraying capabilities and the mapping of the crop area”. It will also give the farmers exposure to drone technology.

He also addressed that the application of drone technology will definitely boost agriculture and the economy resulting in more accurate soil and field analysis. It will also help in better time management, precise crop monitoring, and surveillance, and the spraying applications will lead to the control of pest infestations and diseases. 

The VC  said that the university will also lead further researches to work on boosting the economy. This advanced technology which they will apply in hilly regions would further monitor and carry out results providing better conclusions and recommendations.

He also added that this advanced technology will definitely open the gates in the area of artificial intelligence and precision farming, and their further use will endeavor in the agriculture sector.
