Coromandel International Limited Bags 3 Awards in CII National Poka Yoke Competition-2023

India’s second-largest Phosphatic fertilizer player Coromandel International Limited is a well-known name in the business segments of fertilizer, Specialty Nutrients, Crop Protection, and Retail. CIL produces a very long range of fertilizers and markets around 3.2 million tons making it a leader in its target markets.

Recently in the 12^th Edition of the CII National Poka Yoke Competition Jan 2023, Coromandel International’s CPC plants won 3 awards. POKA YOKE is a competition for Human Mistake Proofing and the idea behind this is to maintain repetitive vigil by freeing a person’s mind. It will help the person to make any mistakes constructively without any fear.

Dahej-Category is Control Type- “Implementation of Automatic Handling of CS2 against Manual  Handling.”

Silver Award Winner

Sarigam-Category is Shutdown Type- “To avoid MCP loss during filter opening (Emptying and  Cleaning) and Human intervention (Manual Drum Handling) and reducing the chemical exposure in nearby surrounding. “

Ankleshwar-Category is Alarm type- “Method of Setpoint limit setting in SCADA.”

Coromandel has also presented a wide range of Specialty Nutrient products including Organic Fertilizers in its attempt to be a complete plant nutrition solutions Company. The Crop Protection business produces Herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides and markets these products in India and across the world.

This fertilizer brand is the 2nd largest manufacturer of Malathion and only the 2nd manufacturer of Phenthoate. Coromandel has also entered into the retail business building up more than 700 rural retail centres in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

During FY 2015-16, Coromandel International Limited registered a turnover of Rs. 11,522 Crore.
