CM YS Reddy Directs Officials To Take Steps To Help Farmers Hit By Unseasonal Rains

The Chief Minister has asked for the list of farmers who have suffered crop losses to be displayed prominently at village secretariats, and for a social audit to be conducted. Officials have informed Reddy that the enumeration for losses suffered in March has already been completed.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has directed officials to take necessary steps to assist farmers who have suffered crop losses due to unseasonal rains. The state has been experiencing heavy rains for the past few days, and Reddy has called for a review meeting to discuss the ongoing situation.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister instructed the civil supplies department to purchase rain-soaked paddy from farmers. He also urged officials to complete the enumeration of crop losses as soon as possible and submit a detailed report.

Reddy has also instructed officials to pay input subsidy and distribute the 'YSR Rythu Bharosa' monetary assistance scheme to farmers in May itself. He has emphasized the need to extend support to farmers during these difficult times. Overall, the Chief Minister has directed officials to take all possible measures to assist farmers and minimize their losses.
