CM Yogi Launches Special Campaign to Connect More Farmer in PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme

The state government, through the mega campaign launched on Wednesday, aims to ensure that all eligible farmers are included in the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. The campaign will be conducted in all 55,000 village panchayats across Uttar Pradesh.

The Yogi Government in Uttar Pradesh has initiated a special drive to include additional farmers in the list of beneficiaries of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. Eligible farmers who were previously deprived of this benefit will be inducted through this campaign, with the expectation that they will also receive the missed installments of the scheme.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the Samman Nidhi scheme in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, in December 2018, and currently, 2.63 crore farmers from the state are covered under the program. Over Rs 55,000 crores have been disbursed to farmers in Uttar Pradesh under this scheme to date.

The state government, through the mega campaign launched on Wednesday, aims to ensure that all eligible farmers are included in the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. The campaign will be conducted in all 55,000 village panchayats across Uttar Pradesh.

The campaign will continue until June 10, during which the problems faced by farmers will be addressed. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the significant changes that have been implemented in the state's agriculture department, all geared towards the welfare of farmers.

During recent e-KYC verifications, the UP government identified over 10 lakh ineligible farmers who were wrongfully availing of the benefits of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. Among them were individuals who were income taxpayers, pensioners, and state employees.

The Agriculture Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Surya Pratap Shahi, announced that the names of all such individuals have now been removed from the list of beneficiaries. Going forward, the linking of Aadhaar cards with bank accounts, e-KYC verifications, and the updating of land records will be made mandatory for farmers to access the benefits of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.

While launching the mega campaign to link farmers' Aadhaar cards with their bank accounts, conduct e-KYC verifications, and update land records, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath assured that eligible farmers who were previously excluded from the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme would now be included. He further added that they would not only receive the benefits going forward but also the missed installments of the scheme.

During the event, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also unveiled a portal called "Darshan" specifically for farmers. The portal will facilitate enrollment for various services and grants available to farmers. He highlighted that this mega campaign aims to provide enhanced benefits to farmers and resolve their issues.
