CM M.K. Stalin Allocates Money of Rs 35000 Cr for Agriculture Department

Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister M.R.K. Panneerselvam and K.N. Nehru inaugurated the 46th summer festival and flower show in Tamil Nadu. Nehru told that CM M.K. Stalin has allocated price money of Rs 35,000 crore for the Agriculture Department.

On 22nd May 2023, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister M.R.K. Panneerselvam and Municipal Administration Minister K.N. Nehru inaugurated the 46th summer festival and flower show in Yercaud, Tamil Nadu.

On the occasion, Nehru told that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has permitted and issued a separate budget and allocated price money of Rs 35,000 crore for the Agriculture Department.

He also told that “ They have received an additional 2 lakh metric tonnes of paddy per year as a result of water being opened for delta irrigation at an appropriate time.”

Also, CM Stalin is supposed to visit Salem on June 11 to welcome and inaugurate projects worth 1,300 crores. Mr. Nehru also told that Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone for the upcoming or new projects.

At the inauguration, hundreds of people gathered before Anna Park two hours earlier for the flower show. There was a huge gathering of the crowd. Many beautiful replicas were made and displayed including dragon warrior, Honey Bheem, and several others made with five lakh flowers. This show was a huge success with a heavy audience, it was a huge tourist attraction spot.

People were mesmerized and engaged in clicking images before replicas.

At this function, Minister has also distributed welfare assistance worth Rs 1.39 crore to more than 161 beneficiaries.

Many higher authorities and officials have participated in the function including District Collector S. Karmegam, Salem Mayor A. Ramachandran, MLAs R. Rajendran, S. Sathasivam, R. Arul, and many more.

The function was a huge success. People celebrated and appreciated the replicas that were being displayed.
