CM Announces Distribution of Rs 361.29 Cr Farm Machinery Under YSR Yantra Seva Pathakam
YSRC government has successfully set up 10,444 Custom Hiring Centres at the Rural Block level. An amount of Rs 126 crore will be deposited for subsidy in farmers' accounts.
CM Minister Reddy today to distribute 2,562 tractors, 100 combine harvesters, and a total of 13,573 farm machinery worth Rs 362 crores under YSR Yantra Seva (Phase- II) in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh today. Money worth Rs 126 crore is to be deposited for subsidy in the farmer's account. As per an official announcement, farmer groups can avail machinery by paying only 10% of the total cost, while enjoying a 40% subsidy. Additionally, the government is facilitating the approval of loans to cover the remaining 50%.
Intending to boost farmers' income by minimizing cultivation expenses through mechanization and establishing a minimum of one Custom Hiring Centre (CHC) at the Rural Block (RBK) level, the YSRC government is equipping farmer groups with agricultural machinery. During the initial large-scale distribution event, a total of 3,800 tractors, 391 combined harvesters, and 22,580 other agricultural types of machinery, amounting to Rs 690.87 crores, were allocated to 6,525 Custom Hiring Centres at the Rural Block (RBK) level and 391 cluster-level centers. This distribution was accompanied by a subsidy of Rs 240.67 crore.

According to Agriculture Minister Govardhan Reddy, the YSRC government has successfully set up 10,444 Custom Hiring Centres at the Rural Block (RBK) level, each equipped with machinery valued at Rs 15 lakh. Additionally, there are 491 Cluster level Custom Hiring Centres, resulting in a total distribution of machinery worth Rs 25 lakh to each cluster. Additionally, he added that YSR Yantra Seva Pathakam services are to be facilitated at every RBK.

According to Minister Govardhan Reddy, farmer groups are responsible for maintaining community hiring centers within their villages. The farmer groups have the authority to make decisions regarding the selection of farm machinery, taking into consideration the specific crop patterns of their village and the local demand for hiring. To assist farmers and simplify the machinery hiring process, the government has introduced the 'YSR Yantra Seva App'. This application empowers farmers to book the required farm equipment up to 15 days in advance, streamlining the process.
In addition, at every Rural Block (RBK), a Kisan Drone Service utilizing the latest technology is made available. Furthermore, initiatives are underway to offer marginal farmers sprayers and tarpaulins with a 50% subsidy, ensuring their access to essential equipment.
