CLAAS, a prominent agricultural machinery manufacturer, has unveiled its latest line of high horsepower four-wheel drive tractors at the Ag In Motion event. Customer-Centric Approach:

Under the leadership of Cathrina Claas-Muehlhaeuser, Claas remains committed to innovation and evolution in its product offerings. The development of the Xerion 12 series, the latest line of high-horsepower tractors, is a result of extensive customer engagement and research. Claas organized customer focus groups in 2017, engaging with 300 customers from ten key countries to understand their requirements for high-horsepower tractors. This valuable feedback guided the creation of a tractor that would meet and exceed customer expectations.

Addressing Technical Challenges:

The major challenge in developing the Xerion 12 series was to achieve over 600 horsepower using a rigid frame design and a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) system, a feat never accomplished before. The design team commenced the process by modifying a Xerion 5000 with a larger engine to assess the drive train's feasibility. The prototypes of the Xerion 12 series have been undergoing rigorous testing since 2021, with more than 50,000 hours of intense validation in real field conditions across various climates and applications.

Powerful Performance:

The Xerion 12 series offers two models equipped with either 585 or 653 maximum horsepower, utilizing the powerful Mercedes-Benz 15.6-litre engine. Both models feature the only four-range CVT transmission in its class, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Unmatched Efficiency:

With the ability to travel at speeds of up to 40 km/h with 30-inch or 36-inch tracks and up to 50 km/h with 800/70 R 42 duels, the Xerion 12 series ensures efficiency and productivity on the field. The innovative rigid frame design, synonymous with Claas tractors, allows for smooth travel at 31 mph on the road, a capability unmatched by articulated tractors.

Operator Assistance System:

Notable features of the Xerion 12 series include the incorporation of Cemos Automatic, a self-learning operator assistance system that optimizes settings and monitors sensors based on agro-economic parameters, enhancing the ease of use for both experienced and novice operators.

Filling a Market Gap:

Frans Reijmers, the company's North American product manager for tractors, highlighted that the Xerion 12 series fills a significant gap in the Claas dealer network's product offerings in Canada. This series is built to compete head-on with other high-performance four-wheel drive tractors in the market, providing farmers with a reliable and powerful choice for their agricultural operations.

The launch of the Xerion 12 series showcases Claas's dedication to serving its customers by providing cutting-edge agricultural machinery tailored to meet regional demands.
