Case IH, a prominent CNH Industrial brand, recently showcased its impressive lineup of advanced machinery and intelligent farming solutions at the prestigious Agriconnect Conference and Exhibition held in Bangkok, Thailand.
This inaugural event centered around the theme of "Eco-efficiency: Solutions for Environmental Farming Business" and aimed to facilitate collaboration among key industry players, fostering a sustainable and prosperous future for agriculture in Southeast Asia.

Equipped with a more powerful engine, intelligent hydraulic system, and increased working capacity at a reduced operating cost, the Austoft 9000 series incorporates cutting-edge features like Advanced Farming Systems auto-guidance and a new telematics system, offering seamless 4G connectivity on the machine.
Matthew McDonald, APAC Precision Technology Manager at CNH Industrial, expressed the significant reputation and extensive history of the Austoft brand in revolutionizing cane harvesting. He emphasized the utilization of Case IH's AFS technology and the integration of modern mechanized farming methods as key factors in enabling sustainable agricultural practices for the future.

In his presentation titled "The Power of Technology: Securing a Productive Future for Southeast Asia," McDonald delved into the immense potential for the region's agriculture sector to flourish by embracing appropriate socio-economic technologies.
According to McDonald, “a range of advanced smart farming technologies already exists in Southeast Asia, offering substantial potential to enhance the yield and consistency of major crops like rice, cassava, corn, and sugarcane. These proven technologies, which have been successfully implemented in numerous developed nations, are now more accessible and affordable across the region."
McDonald showcased the achievements of digital farming initiatives in nations like Japan, where agricultural policy reforms have been greatly influenced by science, technology, and innovation. To encourage the adoption of smart farming technologies, loans, and subsidies were made readily available to farmers and agribusinesses.

McDonald emphasized the importance of incentivizing technology-driven farmers, providing them with enhanced training opportunities, and showcasing the positive effects of smart farming practices within the local context. The Agriconnect Conference and Exhibition of 2023, jointly organized by DLG (German Agricultural Society) and VNU Asia Pacific in collaboration with the Thai Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, successfully brought together over 30 speakers from nine different countries, featured 15 exhibitors and attracted approximately 300 delegates.
