Biswanath Charali - Assam CM Commemorates Golden Jubilee of Agriculture Farm, Gohpur

Recently a golden jubilee of Purbajyoti Krishi Pam Nigam, an agriculture farm of Gohpur was celebrated. It was a three-day-long program conducted in Biswanath Charali.

Recently golden jubilee of Purbajyoti Krishi Pam Nigam, an agriculture farm of Gohpur was celebrated in Biswanath Charali. Chief Minister Himanta Biswas Sarma was also one of the eminent participants in this celebration. 

The CM was welcomed by the beautiful tunes of 50 drummers and dancers.

Cheif Minister  Himanta Biswa Sarma told that “ Government is continuously looking at the issues being raised related to land problems. Through Mission Bashundhara, the government is trying to resolve these issues. An application of 7.50 lac has been raised and received by Assam Government. Meanwhile this year too 13 lac applications were received by Bashundhara 2.0”.

According to Sarma, he has assured that the land issues of Assam farmers will be completely resolved and 4000 bigha land will be distributed among farmers.

He also told that 1,000 bighas would be kept in the name of the farm or the name of the government. This would help them to enact and engage with different projects which could lead to several developments in the future.

The Chief Minister also told that the government is keeping complete track and taking several steps to ensure development in the agriculture sector. Infact government has taken responsibility for purchasing farmers’ paddy. Also, they will purchase mustard, cultivated by farmers.

He also stated that it is a request to people to buy games woven by Assamese weavers, which will boost the economy and encourage them to continue with the work. Top officials like MLAs Ranjit Dutta and Utpal Borah, Sonitpur Deputy Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra, Additional Deputy Commissioner and SDO (C) i/c, Biswanath Jay Sivani, Vice Chancellor of Madhavdev University Dibakar Ch Deka and others had also attended this program.
