Bikaner: Parshottam Rupala inaugurates ‘Camel Product Processing Utilization Wing’ At ICAR-NRCC
The Camel Product Processing Utilization & Training Wing at the centre was established considering the vast opportunities that this sector offers.
Shri Parshottam Rupala, Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, Government of India, paid a visit to Bikaner, Rajasthan, yesterday to inaugurate the 'Camel Product Processing Utilization & Training Wing' at the ICAR centre.
The Camel Product Processing Utilization & Training Wing at the centre was established considering the vast opportunities that this sector offers.
During the visit, Shri Rupala met with pastoralists, members of the pastoral community, scientists, and domain experts to discuss the importance of the product processing wing and its benefits to the pastoral community. The Product Processing Utilization & Training Wing has been established in order to investigate the vast opportunities in the camel product processing sector.
“With the Animal Husbandry sector emerging as one of the diverse drivers of economic growth and rural income, there is a need for technological infusion, public investments, and policy reforms,” said Shri Parshottam Rupala during the inauguration of the training wing. Furthermore, the Union Minister stated that “this centre will benefit not only the pastoral communities in Rajasthan but also India as a whole. He added that the Ministry intends to collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the continued growth of the livestock sector.”
Shri Parshottam Rupala met with several dignitaries at the Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav. “Such events provide a good opportunity to interact with and showcase India's eminent and unique culture across domains,” he said. “These events also bring people from various fields of work together on one platform to share ideas, network, and learn from one another,” he added.
Later that day, after the inauguration, the minister went to the Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav, which was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The Mahotsav, or National Cultural Festival of India, was created in 2015 by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, to celebrate India's spirit of tradition, culture, heritage, and diversity.
