Best Agrolife Limited (BAL), a leading agrochemical company in India, has recently obtained three major registrations from the Central Insecticides Board & Registration Committee (CIBRC). The registrations were granted to BAL's wholly owned subsidiary, Best Crop Science Pvt Ltd, for the indigenous manufacturing of Diclosulam technical, Boscalid technical, and Dimethomorph technical.

Diclosulam is a broadleaf herbicide designed to control weeds in soybean and peanut crops. Boscalid, on the other hand, acts as a foliar fungicide and protects a wide range of fungal pathogens in various crops, including vegetables. Dimethomorph, a systemic fungicide, safeguards potato, tomato, and grape crops from water mold family fungi, such as root rot, crown rot, late blight, and downy mildew.

These registrations mark a significant milestone for BAL and enable the company to better serve the farming community. Along with manufacturing the technical products, BAL also has plans to develop highly sought-after formulation products, expanding their product line further. The company aims to achieve a 30 percent growth rate and a 20 percent EBITDA margin.

Vimal Kumar, the Managing Director of BAL, expressed his enthusiasm about the registrations, stating, "These registrations are crucial for our company and will enable us to serve the farming community better. In addition to manufacturing the technicals, we have intentions to create in-demand formulation products, thereby expanding our product range and supporting our objective of achieving 30% growth and a 20% EBITDA margin."

BAL is already equipped to develop several key formulations using these technicals. An example of significant Dimethomorph formulations includes Metiram 44 percent combined with Dimethomorph 9 percent WG, as well as Dimethomorph 12 percent mixed with Pyraclostrobin 6.7 percent WG. In the case of Boscalid, a prime formulation is Boscalid 25.25 + Pyraclostrobin 12.8 percent WG. With approvals for Metiram and Pyraclostrobin technicals already in place, BAL can now develop these products in both technical and formulation segments in-house.

Notably, BAL recently became the first Indian agrochemical company to manufacture both AI (Active Ingredient) and formulations of Pyroxasulfone after obtaining CIB registration for the domestic manufacturing of Pyroxasulfone 85 percent WG. Additionally, the company is preparing to launch its highly anticipated fungicide Tricolor, a combination product featuring Trifloxystrobin 10% + Difenoconazole 12.5 percent + Sulphur 3 percent Sc. This fungicide provides effective control against various crop diseases like Sheath blight, Powdery Mildew, Scab, and Alternaria in crops including Rice, Tomato, Grapes, Chilli, Wheat, Mango, and Apple.

The company operates three manufacturing facilities located in Gajraula, Greater Noida, and Jammu & Kashmir, with a combined manufacturing capacity of 7,000 MTPA and 30,000 MTPA, respectively. BAL has a strong network of approximately 5200 distributors across India and boasts an impressive portfolio of over 400 formulations and more than 100 technical manufacturing licenses.

BAL's recent registrations and product developments further solidify its position as a key player in the Indian agrochemical sector, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the agricultural community and ensuring sustainable farming practices.
