Battery-Operated Cultivator and Planter Machine Launched

The use of new and modern agricultural techniques has grown significantly in recent years. Farmers use modern technology-equipped agricultural machines to perform small to large agricultural tasks such as plowing fields, sowing seeds, and harvesting crops. The use of agricultural machines outfitted with modern technology has made farming much easier than it was previously. Farmers can complete farming tasks in less time and at a lower cost with the help of these modern agricultural machines.

The use of agricultural machines outfitted with modern technology has made farming much easier than it was previously. Farmers can complete farming tasks in less time and at a lower cost with the help of these modern agricultural machines.

As a result, the cost of cultivation is reduced, and farmers' income increases. However, the current continuous increase in the prices of gasoline and diesel has increased the cost of farming for farmers. Keeping farmers' problems in mind, agricultural universities are constantly developing new technology-based agricultural machines for farmers, so that more and more farmers can benefit from these agricultural machines.

Features & Price of a battery-powered cultivator

This agricultural machine is outfitted with a 750 W (1 HP) motor, which is powered by a 48 V power battery. Secondary plowing of 1 hectare of land can be completed in 5-7 hours with the help of this battery-powered cultivator. Because the cattle will have to apply less force because the machine is battery-powered, farmers can easily operate the entire machine by sitting on the seat. The total cost of this device is estimated to be between 55 to 60 thousand rupees.

Animal Powered Battery Operated Planter Specifications and Cost

Indira Gandhi Agricultural University scientists have also created an animal-operated battery-powered planter. This allows for sowing while keeping the seed distance from the rowed seed constant. Sowing seeds can be done in less time by keeping this planter row-to-row distance of 20 to 50 cm depending on the crop. The price of an animal-powered battery-powered planter is estimated to be between Rs 20 and Rs 25 thousand.

Subsidized agricultural equipment is available.

Chhattisgarh's Baghel government provides farmers with subsidies ranging from 40 to 70 percent on agricultural machinery. For this, the state government continues to solicit applications from its farmers under the centralized subsidy scheme for agricultural machinery. Small and marginal farmers from the general and reserved categories benefit from the agricultural machine subsidy scheme.
