Arunachal Pradesh- MLA Kento Jini Distributes Farm Machinery to Local Farmers in Productive Initiative
MLA Kento Jini delivered two Mahindra tractors and fifteen power tillers to deserving beneficiaries in West Siang. Urged farmers to cultivate millets extensively for self-reliance.
Participating in a noteworthy occasion at Gumin Kiin on Sunday, Kento Jini, fulfilling roles both as an MLA and an advisor to the Ministry of Law & Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, played an active role. In the course of this event, he engaged in the distribution of farming tools to nearby farmers, aligning with the objectives of the Atma Nirbhar Bhagvani Yojana for the financial year 2022-2023.
In his capacity as the chief guest, Kento Jini personally handed over a pair of Mahindra tractors and 15 power tillers to deserving recipients from the West Siang district. He emphasized the importance of using these tools effectively for both agricultural and horticultural purposes. He urged the beneficiaries to employ the machinery to its maximum potential, which would greatly contribute to enhancing their farming activities.
Furthermore, Kento Jini extended his encouragement and guidance to all the farmers present. He specifically advised them to engage in the large-scale cultivation of millets, highlighting their significance in achieving self-sufficiency. By cultivating millets on a larger scale, farmers would not only improve their economic prospects but also play a vital role in boosting the overall agricultural productivity of the region. This would additionally improve farmers' livelihood and safeguard agriculture.

Kento Jini's involvement in the event showcased his commitment to promoting agricultural growth and self-reliance among the farming community. His distribution of farm machinery and insightful advice reinforced the government's initiative and demonstrated his dedication to uplifting the agricultural sector.
Encouraging all ZPMs to diligently carry out their designated responsibilities, he emphasized the importance of understanding the clear boundaries that exist between the duties of panchayat leaders and MLAs. He put forward the idea that working together in a coordinated manner would lead to greater progress and betterment of the community.
Sharing information that the road connectivity within the Aalo Township has been successfully established, and the construction of a national highway linking Assam is nearing completion, he highlighted the potential benefits for local farmers. He explained that these infrastructural advancements would open up new avenues for farmers to market their produce, ultimately leading to increased earnings by capitalizing on these developmental opportunities.

DHO Kirmar Lona, the District Horticulture Officer, extended a request to all the beneficiaries. Under his guidance, the horticulture department organized and executed the distribution program. He urged them to ensure timely repayment of their loans and to effectively utilize the agricultural machinery provided to them. By doing so, he emphasized that proper cultivation practices could be upheld, resulting in improved crop yields and overall agricultural productivity.
