Fulfilling his promise made during a recent visit to the Haryana fields, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi hosted a special luncheon at his mother Sonia Gandhi's residence, 10 Janpath, for a group of Haryana women farmers. The luncheon served as an opportunity for the women to express their concerns regarding Rahul Gandhi's marriage, leading to an amusing and heartwarming conversation with the Gandhi family.

The luncheon, hosted by former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, was attended by her daughter and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi as well. During the meeting, the women farmers raised the question on everyone's mind - when is Rahul Gandhi getting married? In response to their queries, Sonia Gandhi playfully suggested, "Aap ladki dhundho na [You find a girl for him]."

To this light-hearted comment, Rahul Gandhi chimed in, saying, "It will happen." The Congress leader, who represents Rae Bareli in Parliament, seemed at ease and enthusiastic about the possibility of settling down in the future.

The luncheon was an extension of Rahul Gandhi's visit to Madina village in Haryana's Sonipat district on July 8, where he interacted with locals, drove a tractor, sowed paddy, and shared food with the hardworking farmers. During the visit, he had promised the women farmers that he would invite them to the national capital, as many of them had never visited Delhi despite its close proximity.

True to his word, Rahul Gandhi arranged for the women farmers to visit Delhi for a memorable 'Delhi Darshan' experience. The visit culminated in an eventful luncheon at Sonia Gandhi's residence, where the women had the opportunity to spend time with the Gandhi family.

In a heartwarming gesture, one of the women farmers fed Rahul Gandhi during the luncheon, creating a candid moment captured in a video shared by the Congress leader. The video also showcased the Gandhi family dancing with the women farmers, expressing their joy and solidarity.

During the gathering, Priyanka Gandhi fondly spoke about Rahul Gandhi, stating, "Sweet lagta hai na... sabse shararti hai ye... daant main khati thi [He looks sweet, right? He is the naughtiest and I would get shouted at]."

After the event, Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to share his happiness, posting in Hindi, "A day to remember for Maa, Priyanka, and me with some very special guests. Delhi darshan of Sonipat's farmer sisters, lunch with them at home, and lots of talk. Got priceless gifts - desi ghee, sweet lassi, homemade pickles, and lots of love."

The luncheon at 10 Janpath became a memorable experience for both the Gandhi family and the Haryana women farmers, strengthening the bond between them and fostering a sense of camaraderie. As Rahul Gandhi continues his journey in public service, his supporters eagerly await the next chapter of his life with hope and anticipation.
