The Union Minister for Home and Cooperation, Amit Shah, has launched IFFCO Nano DAP, a liquid fertilizer for crops, and urged farmers to stop using traditional Di-ammonia phosphate (DAP). The launch took place on Wednesday, and the minister said that using Nano DAP will benefit farmers and make them self-sufficient. The new product will be pocket-friendly for farmers and will increase their income. It will also reduce the cost of logistics and warehousing.

According to IFFCO, using Nano DAP will reduce crop-wise expenditure by 6 to 20 per cent. A 500 ml bottle of Nano DAP costs Rs 600, which can replace a 50 kg bag of traditional DAP, costing around Rs 1350. Farmers must mix 2-4 ml of Nano DAP liquid in 1 litre of clean water and spray it on crop leaves.
