Union Minister Amit Shah showered praise on Indian cooperatives and highlighted the revolutionary work of IFFCO in developing Nano Urea and Nano DAP, liquid fertilizers that are a boon for both farmers and the environment.

During a ceremony celebrating 75 years of innovation in the cooperative sector, Shah specifically pointed to IFFCO's excellent contributions to agriculture. He lauded their efforts in addressing the critical issue of declining soil quality due to excessive use of chemical fertilizers.

The introduction of Nano Urea and Nano DAP is a game-changer. These innovative liquid fertilizers are applied directly to the crops, bypassing the soil altogether. This not only protects the soil from further chemical damage but also ensures efficient nutrient delivery for better crop yields. Shah commended IFFCO for their swift action in developing and deploying these revolutionary products.

His words were met with warm applause from the audience, which included prominent figures like IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani, MD Dr. U S Awasthi, and representatives from other major cooperatives.

He traced the evolution of agriculture, from traditional ploughs to tractors, and now to the exciting potential of drones. He even predicted that "Drone Didis," individuals trained to operate these drones, would play a crucial role in the future of Indian agriculture.

Expressing confidence in the widespread adoption of both Nano fertilizers and Agri Drones within the next few years, Shah emphasized their transformative potential. He pointed out that seeing "Drone Didis" spray fields through PACS (Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies) instills confidence in rural communities.

IFFCO is acquiring a fleet of 2500 drones, aptly named "IFFCO Kisan Drones," specifically designed for applying their Nano Urea and Nano DAP products. This initiative goes hand-in-hand with Prime Minister Modi's vision of "Sahkar Se Samriddhi" (Prosperity through Cooperation), aiming to train 5000 rural entrepreneurs in drone spraying.

Furthermore, IFFCO has taken a significant step towards empowering women in this growing field by launching training programs for aspiring female drone pilots in various locations across the country. This initiative, inaugurated by Chairman Sanghani himself, highlights IFFCO's dedication to inclusivity and progress.

The development of Nano fertilizers and the adoption of Agri Drones, particularly through initiatives like "IFFCO Kisan Drones" and training programs for "Drone Didis," provides productivity, more sustainability, and inclusivity.
