Agri Advisory Board Addresses Farmers' Concerns in Meeting
Efforts have been made to ensure the availability of high-quality seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides. Regular inspections are being conducted on dealers' stocks and shops to ensure the quality of these products.
The District Agriculture Advisory Board convened a meeting chaired by Joint Collector Ketan Garg, where Board Chairman T Rajasekhar Reddy led discussions on ensuring the availability of high-quality groundnut and cotton seeds. The meeting also focused on the procurement of maize crops at a fair and profitable price.
Agriculture JD Chandra Naik delivered a speech during the event, providing a comprehensive report on the actions taken and implemented since the last meeting. Additionally, progress reports on the activities carried out by related departments were also presented.
Joint Collector Ketan Garg mentioned that groundnut seeds are being distributed through RBKs, with quality checks conducted by board members upon the arrival of seed stocks. Furthermore, maize crops are being procured at a fair price.

According to the joint collector, each mandal has received three drones with a 40% subsidy. At the RBKs, groups are created, and one member from each group undergoes pilot training to operate and control the agricultural drones.

Alamuru Subba Reddy, a member of the Mandal Agriculture Board, has requested the provision of mini-tractors and boom sprayers at subsidized rates. Board Chairman Rajasekhar has called on authorities to ensure the availability of dry chili seeds at subsidized prices through RBKs. Garg has instructed the relevant officials to investigate the exorbitant prices of dry chili seeds.
Additionally, Rajasekhar urged the AP Agros company to consider supplying pesticides directly to farmers through RBKs. This step would streamline the distribution process and ensure accessibility to essential agricultural inputs.
