AGCO Appoints Viren Shah as Chief Digital & Information Officer to Drive Smart Farming
AGCO Corporation elevates Viren Shah as Chief Digital and Information Officer. Shah, with extensive IT and digital experience, will lead AGCO's tech transformation, prioritizing precision ag solutions for farmers.

AGCO Corporation, a leading maker of farm machinery and smart farming tech, has just appointed Viren Shah as their new Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO). This means Shah will be the head of the digital department at AGCO, from computers and data analysis to fancy new tools for farmers.
Starting January 16th, Shah will be leading the charge to develop and implement AGCO's digital vision, making sure their tractors, combines, and other equipment are at the cutting edge of farming technology. This includes precision agriculture, which uses data and sensors to help farmers optimize their crops and save resources.
"Viren brings a wealth of experience in IT, supply chain, and digital roles across multiple industries," said AGCO CEO Eric Hansotia. "He'll be instrumental in helping us further accelerate our tech transformation and put farmers first with our precision ag offerings."
Viren Shah has over 20 years of experience in computers, supply chains, and digital stuff. His last job was as the chief digital officer at GE Appliances. Before that, he has also worked with other companies, like Masco Cabinetry and Specialty Fashion Group and Wal-Mart for a while.
