‘Abki Baar Kisan Sarkar’- KCR Asks Maharashtra Farmers To Ensure Farmers Govt in The State
Rao's speech aimed to inspire farmers to strive for better governance and not settle for their current plight. He called for unity among farmers and their leaders to create a farmer's government that would serve their needs.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao urged farmers to strive for a farmer's government in their state and emulate the Telangana model of governance. Speaking at his party's third public rally in Maharashtra, he asked farmers to elect his party, BRS, in zilla parishad elections.
He expressed regret that farmers had to agitate for 13 months in the national capital, following which Prime Minister Modi apologized to them and gave the assurance, but nothing happened. He encouraged out-of-the-box thinking to change India, saying that BRS is for all people, regardless of class or religion. He emphasized that political will is necessary to resolve water and electricity supply issues faced by the country.
Rao criticized rulers, Prime Ministers, and Chief Ministers for their lack of will in addressing the water scarcity issue despite the abundance of water available. CM also noted out that the water the rich drink in Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills & Banjara Hills is the same water the poor in Adilabad drink. Rao called for a new structure and act on water distribution to resolve the problem.
He also suggested an insurance scheme for farmers in Maharashtra modelled after Telangana's scheme, where nominees receive ₹5 lakhs in eight days if a farmer dies. He also suggested the farmers become MLAs and MPs in place of being used by leaders.
Rao's speech aimed to inspire farmers to strive for better governance and not settle for their current plight. He called for unity among farmers and their leaders to create a farmer's government that would serve their needs. He suggested that the Telangana model of governance could be replicated in Maharashtra to address the issues faced by farmers.
Finally, he encouraged people not to be afraid and stressed that sincerity was key to achieving success. BRS is building a permanent office in Maharashtra to serve the people, regardless of their class or religion. The chief minister's speech called for a change in the current state of governance and the need for leaders with the political will to make that change.
