TOP 10 Government Agriculture Schemes for Farmers

1. PM Kisan Scheme

The PM-Kisan Scheme is the first agriculture scheme on the list. The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is the name by which the programme is popularly known. It is a new scheme for farmers launched by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on 1 February 2019 (effective from December 2018). Furthermore, the scheme assists India's small and marginal farmers who own less than 2 hectares of land.

Under this programme, small and marginal farmers who own less than 2 hectares of land are given a minimum income support of Rs. 6,000 per year. Cultivators will also receive Rs. 6000 in three installments under this scheme.

2. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana is the second scheme on the list. On September 11, 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the scheme for small and marginal farmers. Farmers between the ages of 18 and 40 can also apply for this scheme.

3. Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana

The list's third programme is the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY). Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi introduced this successful plan on February 18, 2016. It is a farm insurance programme based on actuarial premiums. This programme was undertaken by 21 states in Kharif 2016 and 23 states and two union territories in Rabi 2016–17.

4. Kisan Credit Card

The Kisan Credit Card (KCC) Scheme is the list's fourth scheme. The programme was started in 1998 to give farmers access to short-term formal loans. There are numerous banks, including SBI, HDFC, ICICI, and Axis, that provide KCC.

6. Rajiv Gandhi Kisna Nyay Yojana

Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojna is the sixth agricultural programme on India's list of programmes. The Chhattisgarh government unveiled the programme on May 21, 2020, the anniversary of the former prime minister's passing.

8. Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana

The list's eighth programme is the Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY). The programme, which is part of the National Mission on Sustainable Agriculture's Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) and Soil Health Management (SHM) extension, was launched in 2015. (NMSA).
