Tech professionals at Kerala's UL CyberPark are challenging the prevalent trend of young individuals flocking to urban centers for white-collar jobs, opting instead to embrace farming right within their workplace.

On approximately 70 cents of land adjacent to the IT park, they have successfully cultivated paddy, vegetables, and fruits. The Chairman of ULCCS emphasizes that this initiative not only contributes to the state's agriculture sector but also serves as a stress reliever for the tech-savvy workforce.

To support their agricultural initiative, the IT park has erected a rainwater storage tank. The garden maintenance team collaborates closely with the tech professionals, making this a collective effort. Their cultivation of Raktasali, a rice variety known for its high productivity and medicinal properties, is particularly commendable. Its minimal water requirements make it an excellent choice in the context of climate change challenges.
