The life of Rupak Behera underwent a remarkable transformation akin to a modern-day fairy tale. With an engineering degree in hand, Rupak initially pursued a corporate career with unwavering dedication. However, the unforeseen arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic sent shockwaves through his professional life. Much like countless others, his employer was severely impacted, ultimately compelling Rupak to make a momentous decision - bidding farewell to his corporate role and embarking on an entirely new journey.

Undeterred by the uncertain times, Rupak was resolute in his quest to chart a unique path that would not only provide a sustainable livelihood but also rejuvenate his sense of identity. With unwavering determination, Rupak fixed his gaze on the world of agriculture. In the company of like-minded friends, he delved into farming, cultivating a diverse array of crops including mushrooms, cucumbers, watermelons, pumpkins, and an assortment of vegetables.

In the current year, Rupak channeled an investment of Rs 4 lakh into the cultivation of watermelons on a luxuriant acre of land. His expectations soared, anticipating a substantial return of Rs 7 to 8 lakh from the sale of these vibrant, green-skinned fruits. With the first harvest yielding two quintals of produce, the promise of three more quintals ripening on the vines instilled an air of optimism.
