Prince of Gwalior & Jyotiraditya Scindia's Son Mahanaryaman's Story from Agri Startup to Owning a Cricket Team
Taking from his family's tradition of public service and his grandfather's emphasis on creating social impact, Mahanaryaman, along with his co-founder Suryansh Rana, brings a unique perspective to the agricultural sector.
Mahanaryaman Scindia, the son of the well-known politician Jyotiraditya Scindia, has diverged from his family's political legacy to pursue entrepreneurship. His agricultural startup, MyMandi, is making waves with its innovative farming methods. Despite being born into wealth and royalty, Mahanaryaman is forging his path and making a name for himself in the business world.
MyMandi, founded in 2022, has swiftly gained attention and success under Mahanaryaman's leadership. The startup has seen substantial growth, expanding its operations across various cities and generating significant revenue.
Drawing from his family's tradition of public service and his grandfather's emphasis on creating social impact, Mahanaryaman, along with his co-founder Suryansh Rana, brings a unique perspective to the agricultural sector. With experience gained from working at prestigious global firms like Boston Consulting Group and Softbank Group, Mahanaryaman and Suryansh are committed to revolutionizing agriculture and reducing waste of fresh produce and logistical costs.

The startup's journey began in Gwalior, where Mahanaryaman personally visits local markets, incognito, to procure fresh produce. MyMandi then sells this inventory to last-mile delivery partners, such as street vendors and cart pushers, optimizing the potential of the local "thelawalla" community. Their vision extends beyond fruits and vegetables, aiming to include daily essentials in their offerings.
In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavours, Mahanaryaman is making an impact in the realm of sports. Recently appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the Gwalior Division Cricket Association, he has ambitious plans to launch the Madhya Pradesh Premier League within the next 2-3 months.
The league will feature five teams and aims to bridge the gap between business, cricket, and the public. Mahanaryaman envisions a platform that not only provides entertainment but also serves as a pathway for talented players from villages to reach the national level. Players will receive employment opportunities and remuneration for their participation in the league, which will be broadcasted on television, further amplifying its reach and impact.
With his diverse interests and commitment to driving positive change, Mahanaryaman Scindia is carving out a unique legacy for himself, blending entrepreneurship, social impact, and sportsmanship in his pursuits. Through MyMandi and the Madhya Pradesh Premier League, he is poised to make a lasting mark on both the agricultural and sports landscapes of India.
