Organic Farmer Breaks the Myth of High Costs in Farming- Earn 1 Lakh per Month
NT Prasanth Kumar, an innovative organic farmer, educates future generations on organic farming. With daily sales to 100-200 visitors, he earns a monthly income of Rs 80,000 to Rs 1 lakh.
NT Prasanth Kumar, a 40-year-old techie from Madurai, India, has turned his life around by starting an eight-acre integrated vegetable farm near Ulaganeri village. He is passionate about organic farming and believes that organic produce can be produced and sold at affordable costs.
Prasanth's journey began with a simple question: If organic produce is a general good, why can't it be produced and sold at affordable costs? He decided to answer this question by starting his farm.
Prasanth Kumar once led a team called "Maram Madurai" on tree planting drives and tree surveys to spread the gospel of native tree species and their importance to our ecosystem.
One of the biggest challenges that organic farmers face is the high cost of production. However, Prasanth has been able to overcome this challenge by following G Nammalvar's farming methods. These methods focus on using natural inputs and practices to improve soil fertility and crop yields.
