Mallika Srinivasan, hailed as India's 'Tractor Queen,' holds the prestigious Padma Shri award and stands among the esteemed group of female industrialists who exerts influence over a prominent multi-crore manufacturing empire.

Mallika Srinivasan, recognized as the Economic Times Businesswoman of the Year in 2006, is a prominent Indian entrepreneur. With unwavering determination, she has relentlessly pursued success while staying grounded in her roots. Leading a company engaged in the robust industry of tractor manufacturing, she exemplifies a resilient and determined spirit.

Born in 1959, Srinivasan displayed exceptional academic prowess. She embarked on her educational journey at Madras University and later attained an MBA degree from the prestigious Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in the United States.

As the Chairman and Managing Director of TAFE (Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited), she leads the second-largest tractor company in India, surpassed only by Mahindra Tractors in terms of revenue and sales volume.

In 1986, Mallika ventured into the family business, which was established by the revered industrialist S Anantharamakrishnan, widely acknowledged for his instrumental role in transforming Chennai into the automobile hub of India.

Mallika Srinivasan, the 64-year-old trailblazer, has spearheaded an impressive technological revolution at TAFE, propelling the company to become the world's third-largest tractor manufacturer with a remarkable turnover surpassing Rs 10,000 crore.

Throughout her tenure, Mallika orchestrated significant acquisitions, including the notable Rs 400 crore purchase of Faurecia's India business in 2022, as well as the iconic Serbian tractor brand 'Industrija Masina i Traktora' (IMT) back in 2018.

She further bolstered TAFE's capabilities through a strategic joint venture with AGCO, a leading agro-equipment giant based in the United States. Together, they successfully market the renowned Massey Ferguson tractors, earning widespread popularity.

Mallika Srinivasan, a highly accomplished industrialist, holds significant positions on prestigious boards such as the Governing Board of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chennai and the Executive Board of Indian School of Business (ISB) in Hyderabad. She also serves on the boards of major corporations including AGCO, Tata Steel, and Tata Global Beverages. Recently, she has been appointed to the board of the billion-dollar startup Swiggy.

Belonging to the prominent Amalgamations family, Mallika Srinivasan is associated with a net worth of $3.4 billion. Her husband, Venu Srinivasan, holds the position of CMD at TVS Motors.
