Fendt's 700 Vario Tractors

The AGCO Fendt 700 Vario series tractor has a new design, engine, and technical updates, including a new powertrain with VarioDrive transmission.

"AGCO has always focused on providing customer-first solutions, and the Fendt 700 Vario series delivers on that promise," says David Soliday, Fendt tractors' senior tactical marketing manager. "These tractors are the perfect combination of strength, agility, functionality, and comfort, making them ideal for everything from haying and livestock work to heavy-duty field or fleet operations," according to the manufacturer.

UNDER THE HOOD POWER

The tractors have engine horsepower ratings ranging from 203 to 283 and are powered by the new AGCO Power 7.5 liter engine. Fendt DynamicPerformance, which can add up to 20 extra horsepower when needed, allows the tractors to reach higher horsepower. According to Daniel Smith, senior strategic marketing manager at Fendt, the engine typically runs between 900 and 1,700 RPM.

The 700 Vario's Concentric Air System (CAS) cooling concept is intended for low engine speeds, a small build, and increased fuel efficiency. The CAS requires less drive power, which is saved for increased traction while driving. The CAS has its hydraulic motor and is automated based on demand.

Hydraulics And Tires

The 700 series now supports up to five rear hydraulic remotes and two front hydraulic remotes. An optional hydraulic pump with a capacity of up to 58 GPM is available. The hydraulic system, like other Fendt products, is separate from other tractor functions, eliminating the risk of cross-contamination.

There are several factory-installed tire options available, including common row crop, single metric, and dual tire configurations.

The Fendt Cargo 6.100 front loader, with a maximum lifting capacity of around 9,000 pounds and a maximum height of nearly 16 feet, is available for the 700 Vario.

Better Experience As An Operator

The multifunction joystick and the 3L joystick in FendtONE are used to operate the Fendt 700 Vario series of tractors. The models come standard with a 10-inch digital dashboard and a 12-inch terminal on the armrest, with a retractable 12-inch terminal in the headliner available as an option.

There are six different seat configurations available. Operators can adjust the seat and create a personalized seat profile, which can be changed for different drivers with a single click.

The Cost And Availability

The pricing of the Fendt 700 Vario series tractors is still being worked out by AGCO. Tractors will hit dealer lots around the middle of 2023.

The Fendt Gold Star Customer Care warranty program is standard on all models in this lineup. During a 36-month/3,000-hour period, this covers all scheduled maintenance as well as the cost of oil, filters, belts, and maintenance items. Each tractor also includes five years of Fendt Connect telematics, which allows an operator or their dealer to remotely monitor machine data.
