The agriculture and cooperation department created a smart mobile app for farmers. This app is known as the "Kisan Suvidha app." It provides farmers with timely and relevant farming information. In addition, the app is available in a variety of Indian languages.

The app provides a central location for farmers to access all relevant information. It also includes all of the services and programmes offered by the state and federal governments.

Features & Benefits of the App 

The Kisan Suvidha app includes the following features:

• Weather:

Click the "weather" button to get the day's weather forecast. They can also make the necessary farming preparations; additionally, the farmers will receive the district report for another five days. Furthermore, the weather report will include climate uncertainties as well as the likelihood of rainfall. In addition, the app will notify the farmer of any extreme alerts in the district.

• Dealers: 

The farmers will find all information about the dealers under the "dealers" tab. These vendors will exchange seeds, farm machinery, pesticides, and fertilizers. Farmers can contact the dealer directly to obtain all pertinent information.

• Market price:

The "market price" option is the app's third option. The farmer can find all of the information he needs about crop rates in various mandis here. The app will assist farmers in finding a profitable solution for their crops.

• Plant protection:

The app's fourth option is "plant protection." The farmer can get information about crop maintenance from this site. Wheat, mustard, rice, and soybean will all form part of the crop category. The app will also provide information on safeguarding crops from disease.

• Upload a photo: 

If a farmer's crop is not growing well, he or she can upload a photo of it. The video will be viewed by the agriculture scientist via the app. They will provide the farmer with the necessary guidance in this regard.

• Agro Advisers:

"Agro Advisers" is the sixth option on the app. The farmers can access all the agricultural information and advice by clicking on it. Precautions for everything from planting seeds to harvesting crops will be included in the instruction.

• Contact KCC:

 Farmers can speak with advisors directly by selecting the "Contact Kisan Call Kendra (KCC)" option. The toll-free number is listed on the internet, but many farmers are unaware of it. Thus, a section has been added to the app where users may get all the advice pertinent to their issues.

• Soil Health Card:

It will give all the details about the minerals that are present on the specific farm or piece of land. The right usage of fertilizers and pesticides is also explained to the farmers.

• Cold Storage and Godown:

Farmers will learn all there is to know about the cold storage and warehouse options in their local areas here. It will contain information about the management, such as name, address, phone number, and storage capacity.

How to Use the App 

Farmers can utilize the Kisan Suvidha App since it has simple, intuitive features.

• The software can be downloaded from the iOS or Android store.
• After installation, select the desired language before registering.
• Then, using the drop-down menu, enter all the necessary information. 
• When finished, press the "Registration" button.
• The programme also requests access to your camera and location so that it can deliver information based on your location.
