How Does the Tractor Engine Work?

Unlike gasoline engines, diesel engines in tractors ignite the fuel with highly compressed hot air rather than spark plugs.

When air is drawn into the chamber, it is compressed to 580 PSI, which heats it to 1022°C. At this point, the fuel injector injects fuel into the combustion chamber, which evenly distributes droplets of fuel. These tiny droplets of fuel come into contact with the compressed and hot air, causing combustion gases to expand. These gases push the piston downward, turning the tractor's crankshaft.

How to keep the tractor engine safe and efficient?

And slowly raise the tractor's hitch system to protect the engine from excessive loads. Additionally, when the engine comes to a halt, apply the emergency brakes and turn off the transmission.
