• Categories Eligible for 60% Subsidy: Farmers belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and extremely backward classes are entitled to a 60% subsidy, capped at a maximum of Rs 63,000.

• Subsidy for General Farmers: General farmers are eligible for a 50% subsidy, up to a maximum of Rs 50,000.

• Eligible Machine Horsepower: This subsidy applies to compost spreader machines with a horsepower rating exceeding 40 HP.

Price of Compost Spreader Machine

Several companies manufacture compost spreader machines, with Captain and Shaktiman machines being particularly popular.

Price Range: In terms of pricing, the estimated cost of a Shaktiman Compost Spreader typically falls within the range of Rs 45,000 to Rs 50,000.

Following are the required  documents one will need, to apply for a subsidy on a compost spreader machine are as follows:-

• The Aadhaar card of the applying farmer

• Farmer's mobile number linked to Aadhaar

• Passport-size photo of a farmer

• Farmer's bank account details, copy of bank passbook 

• Computerized bill for purchase of agricultural equipment

• self-certified letter

• RC for tractor-driven equipment
