A power tiller is a handy farming machine used for plowing, planting seeds, and harvesting crops. Its big advantage is that it can handle various farming tasks by attaching machines like threshers, reapers, cultivators, and seed drills. Subsidy Amount

- SC, ST, small, and labor farmers, along with women, are eligible for a 50 percent subsidy or a maximum of Rs 1 lakh on power tillers up to 8 BHP and 11 BHP.

- Other farmers fall under a 40 percent subsidy category, with a maximum grant of Rs 80,000 for the same power tiller range.

- For power tillers above 11 BHP, SC, ST, small, and labor farmers, as well as women, are entitled to a 50 percent subsidy or a maximum of Rs 1.20 lakh.

- Other farmers in this category receive a 40 percent grant, capped at Rs 1 lakh.

- Various companies like VST, KMW, Bard Kirloskar, Honda, and others offer a range of power tillers in the market.

- Popular choices among farmers include models such as Kubota PEM140DI, VST 130 DI, and KMW Kirloskar Mega T 12.

- The price of power tillers in India varies, starting from Rs 20,000 and going up to Rs 2.5 lakh.

- To avail of the subsidy, it is essential to purchase the power tiller from a dealer registered by the Agriculture Department in the respective district.

- Aadhaar card of the farmer applying for the subsidy

- PAN card of the farmer

- Residence certificate of the farmer

- Income certificate of the farmer

- Documents related to the farmer's agricultural land

- Copy of the bank passbook to provide bank account details

- Mobile number of the farmer linked to Aadhaar

- Passport-size photograph of the farmer, and so on.
