FARMS: Farm Machinery Solution App

Smallholder farmers are frequently unable to purchase costly farm equipment. This is why they are frequently unable to complete the necessary work in the fields. The CHC-Farm Machinery App (FARMS- Farm Machinery Solutions) is designed to assist farmers in resolving such issues. Farmers can rent all agricultural equipment from the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare after registering on this app. Through this app, farmers can easily rent tractors and other agricultural machinery.

Without the use of a computer support system, this multilingual mobile app platform called "FARMS- Farm Machinery Solutions" will assist local farmers and citizens all over the nation with the custom hiring services provided by Farm Machinery Banks, Custom Hiring Centers, and Hi-tech Hubs established under the various Schemes of DAC&FW and MoA&FW.

This app will assist individual farmers who want to rent out their agricultural machinery and equipment to increase their farm income while also making the best use of the agricultural machinery available in CHCs/FMBs/Hi-tech Machinery Hubs. This app will also provide a platform for farmers to sell and buy used agricultural machinery.

How does the App work?

After downloading this app, you must enter your full name, state, district, tehsil, block, and village, as well as information about the cultivable land with the farmer. Following that, farmers can request a machine or rent one based on their needs.

This app is available in 12 different languages. Farmers can only choose their language after downloading the app. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, they are working on this scheme to maximize the benefit to small and marginal farmers, and farmers are also benefiting from it.

Farmers and traders working together on the same platform

This app has a unique feature in that both farmers and traders will be on the same platform. If the farmers will send the machines for rent, only the traders will be able to do so at a low cost. Currently, there are approximately 40,000 custom hiring centers registered on the app, from which 1,20,000 agricultural machinery and equipment can be hired. This service will be available to farmers within a 50-kilometer radius.

Where can I get the CHC-Farm Machinery App?

To get this app, first, go to the Google Play Store. There, you must write FARMS- Farm Machinery Solutions in Hindi or English. When you click the download button, the app will be downloaded. You won't even need much space to download this app, which is only about 15 MB in size. When you register for this app, you will also be registered for the Government of India's Kisan Rath App, which assists in transporting produce from the farm to the market.
