The global reach of cotton is widespread, There is one problem the current production methods are environmentally unsustainable, and this could undermine future production. Bringing cotton production in line with minimal acceptable environmental standards is a challenging task.

As cotton cultivation remains for a long period of time it requires good land preparation. The following are different tools used for cotton cultivation:-

Plough

As cotton has very deep roots therefore it requires deep plowing for preventing it from lodging. This is done using a tractor-drawn implement to break the clods and provide proper texture to the field.

Clod Crushers

The most common Clod crusher is a Pata planker which is a rectangular section of a long wooden log provided with two pegs or steel rings for hitching. It generates a powerful engine of 35 Hp made with a 7.5 cm size angle iron. It is a must tool to be used in dry farming areas.

Levelers

In irrigated areas land leveling is a significant tool for performing essential operations. With proper leveling, it will become very easy to prevent any water logging conditions, soil erosion, etc. It will considerably level the whole land uniformly. Wooden logs or planks are very commonly used by farmers. Since it is easily accessible on farmlands therefore a perfect fit for providing good quality cotton.

Hand operated hoeing

This implement is generally used to remove weeds from the field. Weeds are an unwanted species that may increase the level of competition , invade, and also cause disease infestation.

 Sprayers

They are one of the most used equipment in cotton cultivation. Preventing pest infestations, preventing disease, and providing nutrient sprayers are truly beneficial. They can easily spread fertilizers, Chemicals, and manure with different types of nozzles using different sprays like Knapsack sprayers, hand sprayers, and many more.
